X-bow Superflow Saddle

Saddle choice is one of the most personal decisions a cyclist makes, and in India's heat and varied terrain — from Pune's Sinhagad climbs to Ooty's winding descents — the wrong saddle ends rides far too early. The Selle Italia X-bow Superflow Saddle is built for mountain and cross-country riding, combining a Superflow channel design for pressure relief with a shell engineered to keep you pedalling comfortably across long, demanding days.

Use Cases

Daily training. All-day comfort across 2-3 hour training rides in Indian conditions.

Race day. Race-cut profile with cutout for time-trial and aggressive fit positions.

Long endurance rides. Pressure-relief construction for rides exceeding four hours.

Our Take

The X-bow Superflow's central channel does meaningful work in India's 35°C+ heat, reducing perineal pressure during extended efforts on rough trail surfaces or grinding Western Ghats switchbacks. For mountain and cross-country riders in Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Coorg, this saddle addresses the dual challenge of technical terrain and heat-induced discomfort. Give it five to six rides before forming a verdict — saddle fit rewards patience.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The X-bow Superflow is a unisex design suited to mountain and cross-country geometry. Indian riders should measure sit-bone width: sit on cardboard, mark the dimples, measure between centres, then add approximately 25mm. Most Indian riders fall in the 130–155mm range. The X-bow's shape suits riders in an aggressive-to-moderate position, so consider your handlebar drop before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for standard 7×7mm rail clamp seatposts. Match seatpost diameter to your frame — common sizes include 27.2mm, 30.9mm, and 31.6mm. If your seatpost uses a carbon rail clamp, confirm torque compatibility before tightening. Wipe the saddle cover clean after monsoon rides; avoid prolonged soaking to preserve shell and padding integrity.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with padded bib shorts designed for mountain riding, a durable alloy or carbon seatpost matched to your frame, chamois cream for long hot rides, and a compact saddle bag for trail essentials. All available at Cobbled Climbs with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500.
