X170 Color Changing Photochromic Sunglasses

Riding through Pune's morning mist, Delhi's summer glare, or the shadowed tunnels of the Western Ghats demands eyewear that adapts instantly. The KAPVOE X170 Photochromic Sunglasses use colour-changing lens technology to automatically adjust tint as light conditions shift, keeping your Vision sharp whether you're climbing into the sun or descending through a tree-canopied section.

Use Cases

Daily training. Protective eyewear for sun, dust, and insect protection on Indian roads.

Race day. Wide-coverage frames with race-tuned lenses for visibility and aerodynamic fit.

Variable conditions. Photochromic or interchangeable lenses for varied light through Ghat tunnels and dawn-to-day rides.

Our Take

India's riding conditions are unforgiving on eyewear — dust on NH roads, intense UV above 35°C, and rapid light changes on Ghat routes. The X170's photochromic lens handles that variability well, darkening in open sun and clearing in shade without a lens swap mid-ride. For the price point, this is a genuinely practical option for riders doing early-morning Ooty climbs or long weekend rides out of Hyderabad or Chennai.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The X170 follows a one-size-fits-most adult frame approach common to European cycling eyewear. Indian riders with narrower or shorter facial profiles may find the frame slightly wide — use the adjustable nose pads and temple tips to dial in fit. The unisex design works well for both men and women, and the frame sits comfortably under most cycling helmets without pressure points.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all standard cycling helmets — check temple arm clearance with deeper helmet retention systems. The lens is non-polarised, so it reads bike computers and GPS displays without colour distortion. Clean only with a microfibre cloth and lens-safe cleaner; avoid paper towels or alcohol-based sprays that degrade photochromic coatings. Available in Green White and Pink White colourways.

Pairs Well With

Complete your riding kit by pairing these with a well-ventilated cycling helmet with open temple channels, a lightweight cycling cap for sweat management beneath the helmet, a microfibre lens cleaning cloth, and a rigid protective carry case for travel to Coorg or Leh.
