Xpresso 2 Clipless Pedals

The Time Xpresso 2 Clipless Pedals bring French engineering to your road cycling setup at an accessible price point. Designed for riders who want reliable engagement, predictable float, and a secure connection to the bike through every pedal stroke — whether you're training on the Eastern Express Highway or climbing the Ghats outside Pune. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

At Rs. 5,500, the Xpresso 2 is a compelling entry into Time's clipless system — a brand with deep roots in professional road racing. For Indian riders dealing with 35°C+ summer heat in Delhi or Chennai, the stainless steel construction resists corrosion better than cheaper alloy alternatives. Engagement is positive and consistent, making it a trustworthy choice for daily training and weekend century rides alike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedals are one-size-fits-all via the standard 9/16-inch axle thread, but cleat fit is critical. The Time system uses its own 3-bolt-compatible cleat pattern — confirm your road shoes accept this before ordering. Riders new to clipless pedals should opt for higher float cleats to protect knees during long climbs in Coorg or Ooty where sustained seated effort is the norm.

Compatibility Notes

The Xpresso 2 uses Time's proprietary cleat system, which is not cross-compatible with Shimano SPD-SL or Look Kéo cleats. The axle thread is standard 9/16-inch, fitting virtually all road crank arms. Built with stainless steel construction for durability against monsoon moisture and road grit. Service bearings periodically and replace cleats when wear indicators show.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup with road cycling shoes featuring 3-bolt cleat mounts, replacement Time cleats, quality cycling socks for sweaty Indian summers, and a pedal torque wrench for correct installation. Browse all categories at Cobbled Climbs for a complete build.
