Xpresso 4 Clipless Pedals

The Time Xpresso 4 Clipless Pedals bring French engineering precision to your road cycling setup. Designed for riders who demand reliable engagement and consistent power transfer on every ride — whether that's a training loop through Pune's outskirts, a weekend climb up to Khandala, or a long-distance effort in the heat of a Chennai summer.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

Time's Xpresso 4 sits at an accessible entry point into the brand's renowned clipless system, offering the kind of cleat engagement that inspires confidence mid-climb. For Indian road cyclists dealing with 35°C+ summer rides and the occasional monsoon-drenched return commute, the multi-material construction handles varied conditions well. It's a solid first clipless pedal for those graduating from platforms, and a dependable everyday option for experienced riders.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedal sizing is straightforward — the standard 9/16-inch axle thread fits virtually all crank arms. What matters is your shoe's cleat-mount pattern. Most road shoes sold in India use a 3-bolt pattern compatible with Time's ICLIC cleat system. Riders new to clipless should opt for higher float to reduce knee stress in India's stop-start city traffic or on long Western Ghats climbs.

Compatibility Notes

The Xpresso 4 uses Time's ICLIC cleat system — verify your road shoes carry a 3-bolt cleat mount before ordering. The 9/16-inch axle thread is universal across modern cranks. Clean cleat retention channels periodically, especially after monsoon rides when grit accumulates. Service sealed bearings based on riding frequency and conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup by pairing these pedals with road cycling shoes featuring a stiff carbon or composite sole, a set of replacement Time ICLIC cleats, quality cycling socks for long-distance comfort, and a pedal wrench for installation and trail-side adjustments.
