Xq53 Postmount to Flatmount Front Brake Caliper Adapter

Upgrading a front brake setup often means bridging two different mounting standards. The Alligator Xq53 Postmount to Flatmount Front Brake Caliper Adapter does exactly that — converting a postmount fork to accept a flatmount caliper cleanly and securely. A small component with a specific job, it keeps your build neat and your braking performance where it should be.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding scene is increasingly disc-brake-first, and mixed-standard builds are common — especially when riders upgrade forks or calipers independently. The Xq53 solves the postmount-to-flatmount front conversion without fuss. For riders in Pune, Delhi, or Chennai running varied builds across gravel and road bikes, this adapter keeps things tidy and correctly aligned, which matters when you're descending the Ghats or braking hard on flooded city streets.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a brake mount adapter, so fit is about frame and fork standards rather than body size. Confirm your fork uses postmount bosses and your caliper is flatmount-specific before ordering. No heat or humidity consideration affects the mounting standard — verify your fork spec sheet or measure the existing mount spacing to be sure.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for front use only — postmount fork to flatmount caliper. Verify your disc rotor size is within the adapter's supported range. Use with disc-specific flatmount calipers from any major brand. Torque bolts to manufacturer specification; use thread-locker on threads for long-term security, especially on rough roads.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking system with a quality flatmount disc brake caliper, hydraulic or mechanical brake levers, disc brake rotors in the correct size, and brake bleed kits or cable sets depending on your system type.
