Xtrada 5

The Polygon Xtrada 5 is a mountain bicycle built on an aluminium frame, paired with disc brakes and a CUES groupset, designed to handle the kind of riding Indian cyclists actually encounter — broken forest roads, rocky climbs around Lonavala or Coorg, and unpredictable monsoon-soaked surfaces. At Rs. 51,990, it is a serious entry into capable trail riding without the wait for a custom build.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian riders looking to explore the Western Ghats, the trails around Ooty, or the technical descents near Pune and Hyderabad, the Xtrada 5 is a genuinely well-considered package. The disc brakes deliver consistent stopping in wet conditions — critical during monsoon season — while the CUES drivetrain keeps shifting dependable on the kind of dusty, gritty surfaces common across Indian trail networks. This is a bike that rewards committing to the sport properly.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Polygon uses seat tube length or S/M/L sizing. Indian riders typically have shorter torsos relative to overall height compared to European averages, so pay close attention to reach figures on the geometry chart. Measure your inseam carefully. Riders between sizes should consider sizing down for technical trail control. A professional bike fit after delivery is strongly recommended, especially before longer rides in heat above 35°C.

Compatibility Notes

The Xtrada 5 arrives as a complete bicycle with all specified components installed. Pedals are not included — choose flat or clipless pedals based on your riding style and shoe preference. The disc brake standard should be verified against any aftermarket wheel upgrades. First service is recommended after the initial 100km of riding to check torque settings and cable tension.

Pairs Well With

Round out your Xtrada 5 setup with a quality mountain bike helmet for trail protection, flat or SPD clipless pedals matched to your shoes, a hydration pack for longer climbs, and a durable multi-tool for trailside adjustments. Mudguards are worth considering for riding through the monsoon months.
