Yukon Titanium Audax DISC Frameset

The Van Nicholas Yukon Titanium Audax DISC Frameset is a serious long-distance machine built from titanium and carbon — a combination that delivers ride compliance without sacrificing responsiveness. Designed for audax and endurance riding, this frameset is a deliberate, considered choice for cyclists who want a frame that lasts decades and rides beautifully on day one and day one thousand.

Use Cases

Race day. Aerodynamic and stiff construction for competitive efforts.

Daily training. Comfort and reliability for repeat training rides.

All-road and gravel. Versatile geometry for road, gravel, and all-road exploration in India.

Our Take

Titanium is the ideal material for India's riding realities — it absorbs road buzz from crumbling Pune bypass tarmac, shrugs off monsoon moisture without corroding, and handles the repeated thermal expansion of 35°C+ Hyderabad summers without fatigue. The Audax geometry suits all-day efforts: think Lonavala climbs or Ooty switchbacks where comfort over six hours matters more than aerodynamics over six minutes. This frame is a generational investment.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Van Nicholas sizing follows European conventions based on seat tube length or S/M/L. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to leg length — if you're between sizes, consider the smaller option and adjust reach via stem length. In high-heat conditions, a slightly more upright position reduces fatigue on long audax days. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended before finalising your build.

Compatibility Notes

Verify bottom bracket standard, headset diameter, seatpost diameter, and flat-mount disc brake compatibility before specifying components. The titanium-plus-carbon construction requires care with torque settings — always use a calibrated torque wrench and carbon assembly paste at contact points. Check tyre clearance with the Van Nicholas geometry sheet before selecting wheels and tyres.

Pairs Well With

Complete this build with a quality endurance groupset, a wide-range cassette for Ghat climbing, a carbon or alloy endurance cockpit, and a set of durable all-road wheelset. Add a titanium or alloy seatpost to extend the compliance characteristics of the frame throughout the drivetrain.
