Zr1-12x142 Xrd Hub End Cap Set

The Zipp Zr1-12x142 Xrd Hub End Cap Set is a precision small part designed for riders running Zipp's Zr1 hub system with a 12x142mm thru-axle rear standard and SRAM XDR cassette body compatibility. Whether you're rebuilding a wheel after a crash, converting your drivetrain, or simply replacing a worn end cap, getting this detail right keeps your wheelset running true and your drivetrain engaged reliably on every ride. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

Small parts like this end cap set are easy to overlook until something goes wrong — and on Indian roads, where dust, monsoon grit, and potholed surfaces put extra stress on hub internals, maintaining proper axle interface matters. The Zr1-12x142 XDR spec is a specific combination: 12x142mm rear thru-axle with SRAM's XDR driver body. If your build matches this spec, this is the exact replacement part you need. Don't substitute or improvise.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This end cap set is not sized by rider dimensions but by hub and drivetrain specification. Confirm your rear axle standard is 12x142mm thru-axle and your cassette body is SRAM XDR before ordering. XDR is distinct from Shimano HG and Campagnolo — it is not cross-compatible. Riders in Pune, Hyderabad, or Delhi running SRAM AXS groupsets on Zipp Zr1 hubs will find this the correct fit.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for Zipp Zr1 hubs with 12x142mm rear thru-axle and SRAM XDR cassette body interface. Not compatible with QR 135mm frames, Shimano HG driver bodies, or Campagnolo standards. Confirm your existing hub model is Zr1 before purchasing — Zipp's 77D and other hub families use different end cap systems. Clean the axle contact surfaces during installation.

Pairs Well With

To complete your Zipp hub maintenance or rebuild, consider pairing this end cap set with a quality hub grease or bearing prep compound, a set of replacement cartridge bearings for the Zr1 system, a thru-axle torque wrench for proper installation, and an SRAM XDR-compatible cassette if upgrading your drivetrain simultaneously.
