Scultura 300 Tiagra RIM Road Bike

The Merida Scultura 300 is a serious aluminium road bike built around Shimano Tiagra's ten-speed mechanical groupset and rim brakes — a platform that rewards riders who want reliable, trackable performance on every training ride without the complexity of hydraulics. At Rs. 99,990, it positions itself as a committed entry into road cycling for riders ready to go beyond leisure riding.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

For riders tackling the Pune–Lonavala climb, Chennai's ECR stretches, or morning loops around Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road, the Scultura 300 delivers a composed, confidence-inspiring ride. The aluminium frame keeps things honest and durable across India's varied road surfaces, while Tiagra's mechanical shifting is straightforward to maintain locally — a real advantage when specialist workshop access is limited outside metros.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Merida's geometry chart uses seat tube length — measure your inseam carefully before ordering. Indian riders often have proportionally shorter torsos relative to leg length, which can affect reach; if you're between sizes, consider the smaller frame for a snappier feel on climbs. In hot conditions above 35°C, a slightly upright position reduces fatigue on longer rides.

Compatibility Notes

This bike runs rim brakes — ensure any replacement pads are compatible with your wheel's braking surface. Shimano Tiagra is a ten-speed groupset; chains, cassettes, and cables must match this standard. Pedals are not included — order separately based on your cleat preference (SPD-SL or Look Keo for road use). First service after 100km is strongly recommended.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a clipless pedal and road shoe combination, a well-fitted road helmet, a track pump for home tyre pressure management, and a quality cycling jersey and bib shorts suited to India's heat. A saddle bag with puncture repair tools is essential for solo training rides.
